Save Our Economy: Legalize Marijuana in California!

About this Petition:

California Assemblyman Tom Ammiano has introduced A.B. 390, a common sense bill to legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana in order to bolster the state's economy.

During the Great Depression, we repealed alcohol prohibition to save money and bring in tax revenue. We can do it again.

You do not have to live in California to sign this petition.

The Desired Outcome of this Petition:

California passes A.B. 390 and legalizes marijuana, which sets off a chain reaction of similar legislation in other states and at the federal level. Federal marijuana prohibition comes tumbling down.

To: California State Assembly

We petition that…

Now is the perfect time to legalize, tax & regulate marijuana.

While the nation is suffering from a financial crisis, the marijuana business is booming. With more than 2.5 million Californians using marijuana monthly, it is the state's number one cash crop, worth $14 billion per year.

Assemblyman Tom Ammiano's bill to regulate marijuana like alcohol would generate more than $1 billion per year in tax revenue to the state of California. It would also save the $1 billion that is currently spent enforcing marijuana prohibition.

How will this affect our children? Currently, minors find it easier to buy marijuana than alcohol or cigarettes because drug dealers don't ask for ID. We've seen youth tobacco use drop as a result of age restrictions and eduction, and the same will be true with marijuana.

Don't pass up $2 billion per year in order to keep waging a failed war on marijuana. Please support A.B. 390.

Feb. 28th, 2009 @ 11:28 pm Tattoo's & Blues Expo...

Went up the "Tattoo's & Blues" expo today in Santa Rosa. http://www.tattoosandblues.net/index.htm

It was quite a good gathering of artist. I found one place in particular that really did good detailed work (what can I say - I'm a VIRGO).

The best part of the expo was all of the Ink'd women walking around - that and the Blues jam in the lounge.

Feb. 8th, 2009 @ 09:39 pm Poly - FWB & LTR mixed with Honesty - *** Oh My ! ***
An explosive combination indeed.

Several questions come to mind on this subject, such as;

1) When you are Poly and commit to a FWB and are Honest with people then how does it come to be that people get explosive, jealous and mad? It's a curious Human state of mind indeed.

2) When you are Poly and commit to a LTR and are Honest with all involved then WHY is it that women become upset that they are now in competition with other women over a Man that they each supposedly care about or Love?

3) When you are Poly, have a primary Lover, other Lovers and Submissive's in service to you and are Honest with all involved then WHY is it that women still get upset and men get jealous?

I'm an admitted slut - just ask my Domme' or Submissive or even my "friends".

There is no Law beyond "Do what thou wilt"

Jan. 26th, 2009 @ 01:28 am On the changes around us...

I am a spirit having a human experience.

Every day I stand in awe at the beauty around me and yet at times I recoil in my easy chair and reflect on that which was, what is and what is yet to come.

How often I remember a old friend and mentor's greeting when he was about to partake:

Liber AL vel Legis:
II,22: I am the Snake that giveth Knowledge & Delight and bright glory, and stir the hearts of men with drunkenness. To worship me take wine and strange drugs whereof I will tell my prophet, & be drunk thereof! They shall not harm ye at all. It is a lie, this folly against self. The exposure of innocence is a lie. Be strong, o man! lust, enjoy all things of sense and rapture: fear not that any God shall deny thee for this.

It is then that the fire within rages forth once again in the melody of verse and song:

III,38: So that thy light is in me; & its red flame is as a sword in my hand to push thy order. There is a secret door that I shall make to establish thy way in all the quarters, (these are the adorations, as thou hast written), as it is said:

The light is mine; its rays consume
Me: I have made a secret door
Into the House of Ra and Tum,
Of Khephra and of Ahathoor.
I am thy Theban, O Mentu,
The prophet Ankh-af-na-khonsu!

By Bes-na-Maut my breast I beat;
By wise Ta-Nech I weave my spell.
Show thy star-splendour, O Nuit!
Bid me within thine House to dwell,
O winged snake of light, Hadit!
Abide with me, Ra-Hoor-Khuit!

Current Music: Crystal Method - "Name of the Game"

Ahhh... went to Home Depot today.

When I got in to the Power Tools section it was like finding a long lost lover. Hmmmm!

Bought a Pole Hedge Trimmer - the biggest and longest one they have. Went back home, took it out of the box, put the poles together, put on the safety goggles and cranked up Crystal Method's - "Name of the Game" on the external stereo.

Off in to the yard I went.

First up was a really overgrown hedge that had become a 15' tall bush. Muhahaha! It didn't stand a chance. Now it's back to its original size.

Standing silently off to the side of the house was a 50'+ pine tree. It was trying to evade my attention. I walked over without hesitation and took out the branches that had been growing on to the roof for the last year. It fought well and the higher branches being too thick stood up to my onslaught. But not to fear - Doomsday is near.

Last on the list was the front hedge that has been sprouting extensions all year. Zip! Zip! Zip! It now looks like a clean-cut Man on a Saturday night.

I stood admiring the carnage I had caused feeling satisfied that my Will had been done.

Just then, A Hawk flew overhead screeching with great fever. A good sign indeed.

Jan. 12th, 2009 @ 11:12 pm Bay Area OTO News
93 All,

Forwarding this important message from Marlene regarding changes in the Bay Area OTO bodies...

93 93/93

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

The brothers and sisters of the OTO in the Bay Area of California are
pleased and excited to announce the formation of Blazing Star Oasis.
The masters of three Bay Area local bodies: Thelema Lodge, Mons
Abiegnus Oasis and Therion-Babalon Oasis have petitioned the
Electoral College to unify these bodies into a single oasis. This has
been done in order to combine our resources and to initiate a new
renaissance of Thelema within the region. Thankfully, the Electoral
College has accepted our petition! Sister Marlene Cornelius will be
master of the new oasis, and we look forward to great things to come.
It is our hope that the histories and unique flavors of these three
bodies can be united to form a new and more vital egregore that will
enable us to better serve the Order and to spread the Word of the Law.

Love is the law, love under will.
